With more than 300 nonprofit organizations, Charlottesville is home to a lot of passionate people. The Ivy Group has had the privilege of working with many of them--most recently, with the staff at the Virginia Institute of Autism. After facilitating the rebranding of VIA, we are proud to announce the launch of its newly redesigned website: viaschool.org.

Talk about passion. VIA is dedicated to helping people overcome the challenges of autism through innovative, evidence-based programs in education, outreach and adult services. We developed the new website to reflect the organization's mission.

"We're doing state of the art educational and clinical practice, and we wanted a state of the art look," said VIA Executive Director Ethan Long in a press release this summer after launching the new brand.

One in 88 children are diagnosed with autism, making it more common than childhood cancer, juvenile diabetes and pediatric AIDS combined. VIA helps families who have been affected by autism on a personal level by providing them support, education and skills training.

The new website, another step in VIA's branding initiative, features a strong hierarchy, creative by Ivy Group designer Stephen Burden and WordPress as a CMS. The WordPress platform replaces the original ExpressionEngine platform used in earlier versions of the website and simplifies back-end content management.
